RULES

The following should be observed :
(1) Respect your coaches.
(2) Respect your higher grades.
(3) Be quiet in the Dojo.
(4) Do not indulge in "Horseplay" in the Dojo.
(5) Keep your body clean.
(6) Keep your finger and toenails short.
(7) Frequently wash your Judogi.
(8) Never use Judo techniques outside of the Dojo.
(9) Be considerate to lower grades.
(10) Be courteous to your opponents at all times and Bow.
(11) On entering the club Dojo, one should Bow.
(12) When stepping on to the Tatami or off, one should Bow.
(13) Before and after practice one should Bow to their partner.
(14) Mat fees will be paid to the leisure Centre on club night.
(15) Annual membership will be paid to the club.
(16) All club members must hold a British Judo Association License.

(17) The correct procedures for contests are: face your opponent at a distance of about six feet. On the Rei bring both your heels together and Bow. Then take one step forward, left foot first. AT THE END OF THE CONTEST FACE YOUR OPPONENT AND WAIT FOR THE RESULT TO BE GIVEN BY THE REFEREE. Then take one step backward, right foot first, bring your heels together and bow.
