Club Coach and Chairman Pete Douglas - 4th Dan
Pete started Judo when he was 12, many years ago! He went on to become a blue belt.
After winning a county, western area and national team medal at 17, he was distracted by other things until 1999, when he returned to Judo with his 4 year old son.
In March 2000 he fought at his first grading for many years and gained his brown belt. He is now a qualified club coach.
In 2002 he won a bronze medal in the Southern Area Veterans Championships.
In 2003 he won a gold medal in both the British Masters and the Welsh Masters and achieved his 2nd Dan.
In 2004, Pete won a silver medal in the British Masters and he also competed in the World Masters in Vienna.
He won his 3rd Dan at the beginning of 2005.
In 2006 Pete fought in the -90kg to get Gold in the British Masters Closed and Silver at the CommonWealth Masters.
In 2007 Pete won GOLD once more in the British Masters Closed competition.
In 2008 Pete gained his 4th Dan.
